what is RSS

When we browse web ,sometimes we see a buttun type red coloured icon written RSS on it at the bottom right of the browser.Although browsing net is my major passtime i never knew what does tht RSS word indicate for a long time.
Although there are many implications of the word RSS,'ReallySimpleSyndication' gives pretty simple and meaningful implication of it.When we browse through lot of web pages,getting updated with the required sites can be a cumbersome job otherwise.Plainly saying it helps you in staying uptodate in a simple manner.
Not many sites provide RSS facility but the number is pretty much increasing.To use RSS facility we may need newsreaders.I used avant browser for some time and it got some good RSS feeds by default and adding RSS feeds to the browser was pretty simple.
